Church scandals have dominated headlines in recent years, and “deconstruction” has become a familiar term for people walking away from the church and re-examining their faith. 1 Peter 4:17 says, “For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?” Maybe it’s time for each one of us to re-examine our own church situation.
